Ferikind M Suspension is an iron supplement used to treat or prevent iron deficiency, which can occur as a result of chronic blood loss or inadequate absorption. Ferikind M Suspension is used to treat nutritional anemias, pregnancy, infancy, or childhood anemia, iron deficiency anemia, and megaloblastic anemias caused by a folic acid deficit.

How it works-

Dihydrofolate reductase converts folic acid, which is biochemically inert, to tetrahydrofolic acid and methyltetrahydrofolate. These folic acid congeners are carried across cells through receptor-mediated endocytosis and are required for proper erythropoiesis, the synthesis of purine and thymidylate nucleic acids, the interconversion of amino acids, the methylation of tRNA, and the generation and use of formate. Folic acid can regulate elevated homocysteine levels by remethylating homocysteine to methionine through methionine synthetase, which uses vitamin B12 as a cofactor.
