The Glycigon-M SR Tablet is a member of the anti-diabetic medication subclass. It is mostly work to treat type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes, a chronic or lifelong condition, alters how your body utilises glucose. Insulin is either not created in sufficient amounts or, if it is, it cannot function properly in the body in people with type 2 diabetes (insulin resistance). This causes symptoms including frequent urination, increased thirst, and increased appetite by raising the amount of glucose in the blood. Serious side effects include skin infections, vision issues, nerve damage, diabetic foot (foot ulcers), renal illness, high blood pressure, and even stroke can result from this.

How It Works-

Gliclazide and metformin are two anti-diabetic drugs included in the Glycigon M SR Tablet. A sulfonylurea known as gliclazide lowers blood sugar by increasing the amount of insulin the pancreas releases. Metformin, a biguanide, lessens the production of glucose in the liver, postpones the absorption of glucose from the intestines, and enhances insulin sensitivity in the body.

Safety information-

Pregnancy

Glycigon-M SR Tablet is not safe to use in pregnancy. There are human studies have shown adverse effects on the developing baby. Consult your doctor.

Breastfeeding

Glycigon-M SR Tablet is probably safe to breastfeed. There is limited human data to suggest that the drug poses no risk to the baby.

Alcohol

It is unsafe to take Alcohol with Glycigon-M SR Tablet.

Driving

If you have too high or too low blood sugar, it could affect your ability to drive. If you experience these symptoms, don't drive.

Kidney

Glycigon-M SR Tablet should be taken with caution in people with kidney disease.  Glycigon-M SR Tablet dosage adjustments may be required. Please consult your doctor.

Liver 

Glycigon-M SR Tablet should be administered with caution to patients with liver issues. Dose adjustments may be necessary. Please consult your doctor.
