Microcid Capsule is a kind of pain reliever known as an NSAID (Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug). Microcid Capsule is used to treat osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and rheumatoid arthritis symptoms such as stiffness, edema, and joint discomfort. Microcid Capsule is also used to treat acute gout, musculoskeletal discomfort, lower back pain, menstrual pain, and pain after joint and bone surgery. Microcid Capsule works by inhibiting the action of cyclo-oxygenase (COX) enzymes in your body, which produce another substance called 'prostaglandins' (PG). These prostaglandins are generated at the site of an injury and induce pain and edema. By inhibiting the action of COX enzymes, fewer PGs are formed, resulting in mild to moderate pain and inflammation at the wounded or damaged part.
