Chlorthalidone, cilnidipine, and olmesartan are all components of the antihypertensive agent drug class that makes up the Olkem Trio 6.25mg Tablet. Intractable hypertension is treated with it.

The disease known as hypertension, commonly referred to as high or raised blood pressure, is characterised by a consistently excessive pressure in the blood arteries. All of the body's vessels transport blood from the heart to each part. Blood is pumped into the vessels every time the heart beats. When the heart pumps blood through the arteries, it exerts pressure on the artery walls, causing blood pressure to rise. The heart must pump more forcefully as the pressure increases.

How it works-

The Olkem Trio 6.25 Tablet also contains cilnidipine and chlorthalidone in addition to olmesartan medoxomil. A calcium channel blocker (CCB) is cilnidipine, while olmesartan medoxomil is an angiotensin receptor blocker (ARB). They reduce blood pressure by letting the blood vessels open up and relax. Chlorthalidone works as a diuretic, removing excess water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine. Additionally, it gradually improves blood flow and blood vessel relaxation.

Alcohol

Alcohol with this medication may result in extreme sleepiness.

Driving

This medication may make you feel drowsy and woozy, less attentive, or have an impact on your eyesight. If you have these symptoms, don't drive.

Kidney

It is advised to consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you have any kidney issue.
