Olymprix M 500 Tablet SR is a member of the class of medications known as "antidiabetic agents" that are used to treat type 2 diabetes mellitus. Patients with diabetes who don't react well to metformin alone benefit from better glycemic control thanks to this medication. Type 2 diabetes mellitus is a chronic or permanent condition that raises glucose or blood sugar levels abnormally. It takes place when either too little or too much insulin is produced for the body to effectively metabolise the glucose.

How it works-

Two anti-diabetic drugs, metformin and teneligliptin, are combined in Olymprix M 500 Tablet SR. An anti-diabetic drug called a biguanide is metformin. It functions by reducing hepatic glucose synthesis, slowing intestines' glucose absorption, and raising the body's sensitivity to insulin. A dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor, teneligliptin increases pancreatic insulin secretion while reducing hormones that boost blood sugar levels. This lowers blood sugar levels after meals and during fasting. They work better together to regulate blood sugar.
