Rosave D 20 Tablet is a member of the "antilipemic" or cholesterol-lowering agent class of medications, which is primarily used to treat hypercholesterolemia. Future stroke and heart attack risk are decreased as a result. When there is an abnormally high level of cholesterol in the blood, which is sometimes referred to as hyperlipidemia or dyslipidemia, high cholesterol is present. The arteries constrict and obstruct when the blood cholesterol levels are high, which causes heart disease, including stroke and heart attack. In our bodies, there are two different forms of cholesterol: high-density lipoprotein, which is good cholesterol, and low-density lipoprotein, which is harmful cholesterol. The reduction of bad cholesterol in the body is aided by good cholesterol, which is beneficial for the heart.

- Rosuvastatin is a member of the statin family of drugs, also known as HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, which prevent the body from producing cholesterol by blocking the HMG-CoA reductase enzyme.
- As a result, the liver produces less LDL (bad cholesterol).
- By preventing the buildup of extra cholesterol in the main blood veins of the brain and heart, it also lowers the chance of stroke or heart attack.
