Sompraz D 40 Capsule SR is a prescription drug that helps treat gastroesophageal reflux disease and indigestion by alleviating the symptoms such as stomach pain, irritation, or heartburn. It also helps in the neutralization of stomach acid and promotes easy gas passage to decrease stomach discomfort.
Take Sompraz D 40 Capsule SR without food as prescribed by your doctor. It may cause side effects such as flatulence, diarrhea, headache, stomach pain, and dryness in the mouth. Most of these side effects may fade over time. However, make sure to consult your doctor immediately if these side effects bother you. Drinking alcohol should be avoided as this medicine can make your sleepiness worse.
If you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, you should notify your doctor before taking this medication. You should also inform your doctor if you have any liver disease.
Usage Instructions
Take Sompraz D 40 Capsule SR as prescribed by your doctor. Make sure to swallow the whole tablet without chewing, crushing, or breaking it. You should take Sompraz D 40 Capsule SR on an empty stomach.
How It Works
Sompraz D 40 Capsule SR contains two drugs, domperidone and esomeprazole. Domperidone is a prokinetic that works on the upper digestive tract to increase the movement of the stomach and intestines, allowing food to pass more easily through the stomach. Esomeprazole is a proton pump inhibitor that works by decreasing the amount of acid in the stomach, thereby alleviating acid-related indigestion and heartburn.

BREASTFEEDING
