Gelusil MPS Original Liquid belongs to a class of medicines called antacids that helps treat acidity, indigestion, gastritis, heartburn, and stomach upset. A mucous layer usually helps to protect the stomach from acid. In some cases, excessive acid production erodes the mucous layer, resulting in complications such as acidity and heartburn.

The common side effects of this medicine include loss of appetite, weakness, constipation, and diarrhea. There is no need for medical intervention for these side effects.

If you have low phosphate levels, kidney or liver problems, or high magnesium levels, consult your doctor before taking Gelusil MPS Original Liquid. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, talk to your doctor before taking Gelusil MPS Original Liquid. Children should not be given Gelusil MPS Original Liquid because its safety has not been established. Consuming alcohol while taking Gelusil MPS Original Liquid may cause increased acidity.

Usage Instructions

Take Gelusil MPS Original Liquid with or without food. You should take the required dose orally as prescribed by your doctor. 

How It Works

Gelusil MPS Original Liquid contains three medications: aluminium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and dimethicone. Aluminium and magnesium hydroxides function by neutralizing excess stomach acid. Dimethicone works by lowering the surface tension of gas bubbles, allowing gas expulsion via flatus or belching. It also prevents gas formation and accumulation in the digestive tract.

Safety Instructions- 

ALCOHOL

Do not drink alcohol while taking Gelusil MPS Original Liquid. Drinking alcohol can increase the production of stomach acid, increasing acidity and heartburn.

DRIVING

It is unknown if Gelusil MPS Original Liquid affects your driving ability. Consult your doctor. 

PREGNANCY

It is better to consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant.

BREASTFEEDING

Make sure to consult your doctor before taking this medicine if you are breastfeeding.
